Ryan J Frazer -- It was a family vacation in 1985 that was Ryan’s first experience with Fernie. After finishing university it was the lure of the bottomless powder in the valley that convinced me to settle here full time. I am proud to be able to call Fernie my home for the past ten years and I look forward to introducing you and your family to all that this great mountain town has to offer.
Travel and Sports are what inspire me daily. I have always enjoyed travelling and it is something that will continue to be a primary focus of my life. Having spent many months travelling the globe I have learned much about the world and Fernie's place in it.
Outdoor sport is what originally brought me to the valley and it continues to be a major component of my life here. In the winter expect to find me riding the steep and deep terrain at the local ski hill, or snowmobiling in the limitless backcountry that surrounds Fernie. I also enjoy Cross country skiing with my dog Roscoe on many of the excellent trails that exist in the valley.
In the spring, summer and fall months golfing, biking, camping, whitewater kayaking and canoeing occupy the majority of my free time. The valley offers simply the best venue for all outdoor sports.
For the past 10 years Ryan has worked for the Winter Sports School at Fernie Alpine Resort and is presently the technical director of Nonstopsnowboard, a snowboard instructor program that operates in Fernie, Banff and Rossland. Ryan has also worked as a sales representative for a sporting goods company.
When Ryan is not in his office, expect to find him out doing one of his many favourite sports. In the spring and summer, white-water kayaking, canoeing, biking, hiking, camping and fishing. In the winter Ryan is always available to show you all that Fernie and the area has to offer. Strap on your skis and snowboard and let Ryan guide you around the resort for a “locals only” experience.
